For my Radio Drama, I have chosen a few suitable locations where I can create my sound of record great natural Foley sounds. I used locations both inside and outside. For inside I used to record mine and my characters dialogue to get a clear and precise sound without the feedback created in the background. For my locations;

Garden - I will use my garden to create the sound of birds in the background. This will create a sound the distinguishes what time of day it is and in this case it is trying to represent morning. My garden is a perfect location because the birds in my garden always sing loud and clear. I will use this sound at the beginning of my Radio Drama and also to represent Siena talking in her diary voice as a narrator. The bird noise sound will be used in the background of the narrator so it will not sound completely quiet and have dead air in the background. It also represents her writing her journal in the morning.

Dining Table - The dining room in my house will be used to create the sounds of the family having dinner or setting the table out. It is a perfect location to use as I can recreate the sounds of cutlery and utensils moving about the table to demonstrate the family getting ready for dinner. It also portrays how it actually sounds in a dining room. Also, I have a TV in my dining room which I can switch on in the background to make the room more atmospheric. This is reasonable and accurate as nowadays families sit and have dinner whilst the television is on.

Bedroom - I will use my bedroom to record my dialogue as I am the voice actor for Siena. Recording my voice on the voice recorder in my bedroom is an ideal location as there is no background noise that will disrupt me speaking and will get the best recording quality. I will also feel more comfortable to vary my tone and expression in my own space. I will also use this location to record all my other voice actors dialogue.

Another location I will record in is the Gallery Room as this is where I will be producing all my work on Garage Band on the Macs. I will get the best quality sound in this room as I will also be using the USB Microphones which will record straight onto Garage Band. I feel this Microphone will be better to use as it will terminate any feedback noise in the background.
